Visibility is not the objective of reputation management.
The objective of many communications programmes is to raise visibility. While visibility itself can bring attention to a business, simply being seen doesn’t necessarily deliver comprehension, credibility, or trust.
This distinction matters. Too often, PR plans are designed around building media coverage, announcements, events, LinkedIn activity, speaking opportunities, awards, partnerships, or content output. When this happens, the objective is largely tactical—and the problem with a purely tactical approach is that it is short-term. Publicity alone does not gain trust.
Proving Trust.
To build trust, you need clear messaging to tell your target audiences who you are, consistently and repeatedly.
What Is Reputation Architecture?
Reputation architecture is the deliberate, strategic framework that connects what an organisation says, what it does, what it can prove, and how different audiences come to trust it over time.
